Gateway's Homepage: Ideation and Design

In Q3 2025, Sanctum launched a new homepage for Gateway, their transaction delivery aggregator for Solana developers. I led the end-to-end design of the landing page, working closely with our engineering team. Below are my thoughts and process.

All renders used on the website are made in Figma.

Context#

Gateway is a highly technical product built for experienced blockchain developers. The end product is an SDK that developers can integrate, alongside a dashboard for them to monitor the status of their transactions.

Approach#

The challenge was making Gateway feel credible to developers without losing Sanctum's brand identity (fun-loving, light-themed). I wanted Gateway to feel technical but not generic like any other dev/API product.

The following key design decisions were made:

  • Use technically-accurate language – no marketing fluff, should read like developer documentation
  • Adopt a dark colour theme – a non-negotiable for developers
  • Show real code examples and screenshots – no placeholder contents
  • Maintain Sanctum's core design principles – clean layouts, generous spacing, intentional typography
